Formation
At St. Aidan’s, we believe that Christian education is a powerful tool that helps individuals gain a deeper understanding of the Bible and its practical application in daily life. It plays a crucial role in shaping values and character within our Christian community, and we are dedicated to empowering believers to live out their faith as positive lights both within the Church and in the broader community.
Our Christian education program offers a variety of opportunities for spiritual growth across all ages. However, we do feel this is a growth opportunity for St. Aidan’s.

We offer multiple adult education opportunities throughout the week:
- Wednesday Group: This midday hybrid study provides an intimate setting for a deeper dive into Scripture or book studies, fostering both understanding and stronger connections among participants.
- Friday Bible Study: On Friday mornings, participants focus on the upcoming Sunday’s lessons and Gospel readings in a lively discussion. Everyone is invited to answer three key questions:
- "What stands out to you?"
- "What lesson do you think this reading teaches us?"
- "What do you want to take away from this discussion?"
- Sunday Morning Class: Another opportunity to explore the week’s Bible lessons, offering a chance to delve into broader theological concepts, Christian principles, music and history. This class aims to provide guidance and inspiration for living out God’s word.
Women’s Book/Bible Study
St. Aidan’s women’s group meets on Wednesday evenings for a book or Bible study. The format of the study promotes discussion among all participants and offers an opportunity to build a strong connection to others in the group. The next session will begin in Spring 2025.
Children and Youth Ministry
We understand the importance of nurturing the faith of younger generations. Our children’s ministry takes place during the 10:30 Sunday service, while our adolescent ministry meets after the service. These programs are designed to help young people develop personal relationships with Jesus Christ, cultivate a spirit of worship, and have fun in a caring atmosphere.
In these ministries, children and youth engage with the Bible through reading, storytelling, Christian games and discussions that strengthen their faith and support their spiritual growth.
Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation Classes
Each year, in preparation for the bishop’s visit in September, we offer classes for those seeking confirmation, reception or reaffirmation of their faith.
